My story

It began with drum beats, in 8th grade.

My journey with yoga began in 1988 in India, when I was in 8th grade and learned a sequence of asanas accompanied by drum beats.

Over the years I explored Hatha, Yin Yang and Pilates, but it was Ashtanga yoga that truly captivated my heart and soul.

Three places of attention

Ashtanga links breath and movement. Every posture is held with three things: the breath, the posture and the gaze.

FAQ

Questions

My body is stiff, I am not that flexible, I don't think I can do difficult poses, can I still practise yoga?

Yes! Don't worry if you can't touch your toes. As long as you are breathing, you can practise yoga. The beauty of a Mysore-style class is that you will progress at a pace that suits you and your body, and over time you will become stronger and more flexible. You don't know what you are capable of unless you try.

How does the $10 first class work?

Your first class is $10. Book it online: pick an open time, and Sneh sends your Zoom link and payment details before class. After that, classes are $20 each, or $99 a month for unlimited classes. Each class is one hour, live on Zoom.

What should I wear to my first class?

You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in. You might find it helpful to wear clothes that allow you to move comfortably and keep cool. Shorts or leggings and a t-shirt or vest work well.
